This project included renovating 46,000 SF of laboratory spaces with laboratory support spaces and administration areas interspersed throughout. 

Laboratory areas are Agriculture DNA Research and Development laboratories, including sequencing, genotyping, and analysis laboratories.

Laboratory features include:

  • Low volume, general chemistry fume hoods.
  • Mobile laboratory workstations for flexibility and ease of access to the rear of instruments.
  • Overhead service panels for easy distribution of utilities to instrumentation.
  • Integration of Lab and Administrative spaces designed for flexibility and collaboration.
  • Visual connection of lab and non-lab space.
  • Natural light and interactions with nature.
  • Design based on Growth, Collaboration, Movement, Rest, and Focus to create both structured and informal interactions.
